If you’re looking for a fresh and creative experience with alcohol ink, this class is for you! Artist Kim Harrison will guide participants through the process of creating a vibrant landscape using alcohol inks. Once the ink painting is complete, you’ll learn how to embellish and define your work with colored markers for added depth and detail.

Each painting will be completely unique and finished at 8 × 10 inches.

• Felted Flower Workshop In this introductory wet felting class, you’ll learn how to create a beautiful, handmade flower using wool and other natural fibers.

• Each flower is finished with a felted wire stem, making it a perfect decorative piece or gift.

Celebrate Valentine’s Day with creativity! Join us for a special Valentine’s afternoon stained glass class where you’ll design and create a one-of-a-kind stained glass propagation station. This unique piece can be hung in a sunny window and features a small bud vase—perfect for displaying a single flower or propagating plant cuttings.

Discover the art of pottery in our hands-on classes! Each session includes expert instruction, clay, glazes, and firing. By the end of the course, every student will take home at least two finished pieces.

Hand Building Pottery Classes

Hand-Building Pottery Classes

Explore the art of hand-built pottery in a relaxed, creative environment at the Guthrie Art Center. In these classes, patrons can choose from a menu of project options, allowing you to create a piece that fits your interests and the season.

All classes are taught by GAC artist, Martha Miller, and are designed to be completed over two sessions, giving your work time to dry, be glazed, and fired properly.

The class fee includes all instruction, clay, glazes, and firing—no prior experience required.

Classes are perfect for individuals or groups, whether you’re planning a date night, a friends’ night out, or a just-for-fun party. Private group sessions are a great way to create together and make lasting memories.

Scheduling: Classes are flexible and can be scheduled to fit your calendar. 

You may:

• Contact us in advance to select a date and then pay online, or

• Register for the class online and we will contact you to schedule your sessions.
